Right now I am very disappointed with Planetdoll – it’s been one and a half months since I ordered and sent my payment and still nothing. When I asked about it last week on the Q&A board she apologised for the delay and promised to ship that very week – now it’s one week later and still she hasn’t shipped my order even though I can see that people who ordered later than I already have had their orders shipped.

To say that I’m annoyed is an understatement – if I’m ever buying a PD again it will either be through an official dealer who has one I want in stock or second hand because I don’t care much for Planetdoll’s lack of customer service.

Gwaedlyd's body arrived today (together with a super tiny Dollzone Christmas baby A); since I don't have his wig or horns yet I haven't done a face-up...

Anyhow I just wanted to post a photo because it feels like I've been waiting forever for his body ^^;;



The head looks really good on an DZ 1/4 body I think and the resin colour is only slightly off (and that can be saved by blushing) :D

I need to run now or I'll miss my commuter train!

I'm posting people's stuff on Monday and this is seriously the first time I've felt good about running a GO - I usually feel stressed and angsty, but this time I've felt on top of things and there's actually been no trouble at all (touch wood).

I'm going to be depressed now with Unidoll discontinuing some of their dolls - I always thought that I would/could buy Jace and Feanor someday, but now I'm only ever going to be able to get them second hand for some ridiculous overprice (like the old dollshe dolls)! D: At least they'll still be selling Guan Yu (or I hope they will - there was nothing about discontinuing him in their news post)...

I took Lleu and Drystan for a little walk (half and hour straight into the forest in a hunt for untouched snow!) Although it's rather cold outside It's very cold outside I couldn't put off taking my boys outside for a photo shoot in the snow since we've had a whole lot of snow for a long time already. I was about an hour or so too late though - I have how short winter days are.

We left the ground of our tiny photo shoot littered with tiny shoe prints - if someone comes across it before the next snow fall I'm certain they'll start believing in brownies!

My dolls exist in two separate universes - think parallel realities on crack - one that I call Wood Dimension, in which they are rather mundane university students that by chance find out that they're half-brothers; the other reality is called Metal Dimension and in that Drystan is the last surviving prince of a deposed king and Lleu is his illegitimate younger half-brother who was been brought up to be the prince's bodyguard... And because irony makes the world go 'round the pair don't really like each other in Wood Dimension where no one would have really minded them being friends, but in Metal Dimension where they are separated by standing, class and duty they are the best of friends.

I'm so excited - I've wanted a tanned doll for so long and even though my old SD girl and I didn't get along I don't think I'll have that problem with a MSD girl - frilly dresses and fluffy wigs ahoy!

Chanukkah ended a few days ago, but dreidels don't make very good photo shoots anyhow so...

I found a pretty neat thread about cross-dressing dolls on the Swedish BJD-forum and had to make an impromptu photo shoot with Drystan and Lleu wearing some of Ailin/Dena's old clothes... They do look rather good in them and Drystan really do like it, but poor lil' Lleu feels rather embarrassed (my poor dear) ^^;;

Guess who got a visit from the Christmas EMS Santa at half past seven in the morning?

Yes that’s right – me and my own! And this dear bearded man brought me a box from Dollmore (ah! how I love getting Dollmore stuff – makes me giddy) :3

About half of the stuff is for my Scarface Shiwoo, who is still face and body-less, but I did try the wig on his blank head and wow – he actually looks like a Shiwoo and ohmygodIactuallyhaveaShiwoo! A few things were for the other boys though – Lleu’s actual wig that goes with his face-up came and it’s beautiful; Fychan got a new outfit complete with shoes and I seriously need to make a photoshoot with him and Drystan together :3

To be honest, Drystan was the only one who didn’t get anything today (unless my packet from Ningyotan arrives today too, but I’m not holding my breath for that).

Oh, and I got a pair of pretty Dollmore eyes extra – a pair I’ve been ogling for a while, but never found a reason to buy – isn’t Christmas great? Funny thing though, Dollmore eyes don’t come in 18mm, but these eyes are larger than 16mm and do look like they’re 18mm... I guess I will never know :)

I improvised with a crochet hook yesterday and came up with a very cute new hat for Lleu - to say I'm proud of myself is an understatement.

In other news I have a new head at home now - a MNF Shiwoo Scarface - who won't be finished until mid-February when I'll get his body (yes, I've already ordered it, and together with it I will also get one of the cutest BJD:s in existence: A DZ Christmas baby!)

She is getting a new doll-mum and is being shipped off today - I'll miss her wide-eyed innocence and that tiny, wistful Mona Lisa smile, but alas! I am not made to be an owner of girl dolls so she must go.

Fixed the body blushing on both my "big" boys when I got home today and I'm amazed at the wonders a bit of chalk pastel powder can do!

He's finally whole! Drystan is finally a "real boy"! The body arrived this morning without a ransom from customs <^v^>

I'm going to have to blush him to make the head and body match, but I think the pink normal skin resin was the right choice - it's not that much off the mark and it's light enough to fit with Drystan's look :)

When I finished working over the body with my magic brush (well, my charcoal pastels) I'll take photos of this beautiful body, but right now this will have to do:

That would be Drystan's body - I really hope I won't get extra customs charges on it because that would suck.

OMG his wig isn't finished yet! I still have about a hundred and fifty dreads to attach o_O And what about his tatts?! The local toy shop doesn't carry temporary tattoos for some unknown reason and I don't feel like painting elaborate tattoos... OMG his body is in Stockholm - it's almost here!

ETA: After several hours of swearing customs has finally determined my package does not contain mind-altering substances or weapons or whatever they first seemed to think and sent it one step closer to me - about bloody time!

I got some suggestions and useful tips on DoA for how to improve Mr Cutie Pie's face-up (that I re-did just a few days ago and re-re-did just an hour ago again)! He is still not forthcoming with what he's new name might be, but he's so cute I don't mind <^v^>

Thicker eyebrows and more scattered freckles of varying sizes - it's not amazing, but I'm somewhat proud of myself anyway :D





Oh, and another eye change too - Pupa paradise "grass" 18mm - they fit the face-up better than the red ones he had in with the previously new face...

It would be laugh worthy if it wasn't so annoying - I haven't been able to enter the English/International Luts site for forever, but I just noticed I have no trouble surfing both the Korean and Japanese sites. It's something with the router's firewall - has to be, but I can't for the life of me figure out what is up with those settings... I fail so much.

ETA: Mr Cutie Pie has delf hands now (w00t!) - a #2 and one #4 - and I have a pair for Drystan (when his body arrives - keeping fingers crossed they'll fit his body ‘cause I don’t fancy DG’s hands). I met up with Zingy today and bought both pairs from her – she’s sold her boys and had no need for spare hands. My boy is really happy about it – he now has handsome, expressive hands (and not those un-detailed things FD calls hands).
